Andrew Aylwin, a fluent German and French speaker, has a depth of experience as an investor,
borrower, board member and fundraiser that is unrivalled in the capital advisory market.
Since launching MDW Capital in late 2018, the Firm has completed over 70 transactions,
advising on over €5 billion of capital.

Before MDW Capital, Andrew Aylwin spent 19 years at Lyceum Capital, the mid-market PE firm,
where he was a partner, member of the Investment Committee and the Management Board.
Andrew Aylwin led the Firm’s fundraising, investor relations and debt capital markets activities,
and worked with, advised or was a director of over 30 companies. Andrew has led financings in
the UK and Germany; completed acquisitions across Europe, in the US, China and South
Africa; led Lyceum’s record 2013 fundraise as well as its co-investment syndications. He also
led the successful exit of three portfolio companies, in Germany and the UK, returning
significant capital to investors.

Andrew Aylwin’s experience ranges from helping companies to redesign their management
accounts to focus on divisional profit and cash generation, to devising innovative corporate
structures that maximise shareholder value, and to supporting company boards through strong
growth as well as liquidity challenges. He is Chairman of two private equity-backed platforms:
EA-RS Group, the fast-growing UK fire safety services group, and Mecsia, a leading integrated
provider of technical facilities management services across the UK. Andrew Aylwin was
previously Chairman of EAT., and led its sale to Prêt a Manger in July 2019.

Andrew Aylwin is passionate about the success of the management teams and shareholders he
supports and is well-known for creating innovative capital solutions that create flexibility and the
right outcome for all stakeholders. During his career, Andrew Aylwin has led more than 130
financings, fund commitment closes and co-investments with over 60 lenders and investors
Andrew Aylwin has particular experience in the Technology Services, Software, Healthcare, Hi-
tech Engineering and Consumer sectors.

Andrew Aylwin is married with four children. He is a co-founder, Vice Chair and trustee of
Down’s South London, a community-based charity in Peckham, South London, as well as a
trustee of a charity focused on education for girls. In his spare time away from work, charity and
family demands, he can be found on the side of a rugby pitch or snowy mountain, on the golf
course or at home with his family, cooking and enjoying the spoils with a nice glass of wine.
